About This Site

The Land Development Code and Form District map went into effect in the consolidated jurisdiction of Louisville Metro on March 1, 2003. The code and map have also been adopted by the cities of Douglass Hills, Graymoor-Devondale, Hurstbourne, Jeffersontown, Lyndon, Middletown, Prospect, Shively, and St. Regis Park; they are in the adoption process in the remaining legislative bodies.

Different versions of the Land Development Code (LDC) are in effect in certain jurisdictions. Please refer to the version in effect for the site in which you are interested. This web site contains the version of the code in effect in Louisville Metro, Graymoor-Devondale, Lyndon and St. Regis Park.  If you are interested the code for another jurisdiction, go to: http://www.louisvilleky.gov/PlanningDesign/ldc/default.htm  

The March 2006 version of the Land Development Code that is in effect in Louisville Metro, Graymoor-Devondale, St. Regis Park and Lyndon is available in hard copy for purchase from the Customer Service Counter of Planning and Design Services, 444 S. 5th Street, 1st floor. The cost of a printed copy of the Code text is $44 and CD's are $10. The Code text with a binder and tabs costs $50.
